Sluggo Grabs Safe Hands Award
The Cup Match Classic Safe Hands Award is now in year 13. The 2010 Cup Match Classic Safe Hands Award winner is Dwayne “Sluggo” Leverock.
To date a St. George's player has been chosen for the award five times; a Somerset player on eight occasions.
Chris Foggo, a two-time winner from the St. George's team, has been the only wicketkeeper to win the Safe Hands Award, chosen in 2007 & 2009. Janeiro Tucker, 1998 & 2003 and Dwayne “Sluggo” Leverock, 2001 & 2010, are the only other two time winners of the award.
The Safe Hands Award goes to the player who is determined by a body of five adjudicators to have been the best fielder over the course of the two day match.

In addition to the Calvin “Bummy” Symond’s Cup the chosen player will receives a 1,000 cash prize, two round trip tickets to one of the gateway cities, new playing kit (cricket shirt and pants) and dinner for two at Greg’s Steakhouse.
