Cup Match goes hi-tech with new online tickets

Cup Match tickets are available online for the first time – and online bookings will get a discount.
Neil Paynter, president of St George’s Cricket Club, said: “This time it’s St George’s turn to introduce something innovative to the match experience.
“Online purchasers will be afforded a priority entrance at the North Gate – the one closest to the cricket club – plus the first 500 attendees will also receive a special giveaway sponsored by BTC.”
He added: “St George’s Cricket Club trustees are keen on enhancing the entire match experience and have added a few other new additions to the experience.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone and encourage them to take account of the discounts offered."
Tickets for Bermuda’s premier sporting event can be bought from On The Fly – the island’s only mobile-enabled online ticket agency.
Tickets are priced at $15 online, compared to $20 at the gate. There is a $2 administration fee per ticket.
Kendaree Burgess, president On The Fly Ltd, said: “Consumers can choose to have their ticket sent to them via SMS and have their cell phone with the coded ticket scanned at the gate.”
